About Trip
Experience the incredible beauty and majesty of swimming with sperm whales. We will snorkel and free dive (optional in certain situations) with the whales. We keep groups small so you will have optimal time in the water and a variety of experiences. There is no requirement for scuba or free diving certifications.
For example, you may see calves with mothers, juvenile whales, singers, and males competing for mating rights, among many other encounters. We will spend much of our time together—eating, swimming, and going out on the boat for the day.

We are staying at The Champs Hotel, located in the town of Portsmouth, Dominica. With an 8 min walking distance from the ocean.

There will be plenty of space to relax, swim, or go for a walk in the area.
Please note:

If you like your privacy, and want your own room. You can pay for a single supplement add-on. (USD $1,500) Please let us know if that is of interest to you! -
Breakfast is served at the Hotel from 7 AM, in the restaurant.
Lunches are catered and packed so we can bring them to enjoy on the boat.
In the evening we will enjoy a shared dinner in the Hotel restaurant.
We can accommodate most dietary restrictions including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc.
If you have any food allergies, intolerances, or preferences, please list them on the sign-up form.

Each day our local captain will meet us at the dock. There will be plenty of space for your gear whether it’s wet or dry. There will be an area of shade on the boat to take shelter from the sun.
The sun here is strong so please be aware and plan accordingly.
The captain will handle boat operations and guide us to the areas with the whales. He will also ensure that both the whales, crew, and passengers are safe in the water.
You will be required to follow the captain’s instructions on the boat at all times.
If you have any preexisting conditions that may hinder your ability to be on a moving boat please inform us at sign-up.

Sperm whales are incredible animals. They live in complex family units – called pods – consisting of females and young males. Older males live alone. Despite their size and power, these animals are highly intelligent, social, and gentle. They dive to great depths to hunt giant squid and colossal squid using their sonar to stun their prey.
Like dolphins, sperm whales communicate using clicks which form a complex language. With the largest brains of any animal on earth, they are one of the most intelligent species on our planet.
During the trip, you will learn even more things about this beautiful mammal!

The best way to get to Dominica is to fly into the Douglas Charles Airport. Airport code: DOM.
We usually try to time the trips to correlate with the flight to and from Miami, however there's a few way to get there. We recommend using sky scanner, Kayak, or another service to find the best route.
Upon arrival our driver will pick you up at the ariport, and take you to Portsmouth where our Hotel is located. -
